At Riverside Elementary, our school-wide expectations are simple and clear: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. These guiding principles help create a positive and supportive environment where all students can learn, grow, and succeed.
Riverside follows the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, a school-wide approach to promoting positive behavior and creating a safe, supportive learning environment for all students. We are currently in year two of the district PBIS cohort and have been working hard to align our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) "IN FOCUS" lessons with the PBIS model. This alignment strengthens our ability to teach and reinforce clear expectations, recognize and reward positive behavior, and address challenges in a constructive way. By building a consistent and caring school culture, Riverside helps every student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
